Refreshed calendar for the 2025 FIA TCR World Tour

The KUMHO FIA TCR World Tour has revealed a heavily revised calendar for its 2025 season, with only three races carrying over from 2024, but with the retention of Macau as the season finale, and important new events in Mexico and South Korea.

South Korea will host a round of the FIA world touring car category for the first time. A round had been scheduled for the 2020 season, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a Europe focussed calendar instead taking place for what was then the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup. The round will be a key edition, with the series backed by South Korean tyre manufacturer Kumho, and also with a strong representation from the car manufacturer Hyundai.

Mexico will also host a round of the series, the opening event at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Mexico hasn’t hosted a round of world touring cars since the 2006 FIA World Touring Car Championship.

Australia returns to the calendar after one year away, with the scheduled rounds at Bathurst and Sydney cancelled this year (2024) due to logistical challenges of passing through the Red Sea earlier in the year.

The Bend, near Adelaide, will host the round in September, before the final two rounds take place again at the Zhuzhou International Circuit alongside the TCR China championship, with the season ending as has become standard at the Guia Race of Macau.
